1. Introduction

WSAL is a digital business card application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the WSAL mobile application ("App").

By using WSAL, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

  • Phone number — collected as part of your public profile and digital business card
  • Name and professional details — entered by you when creating your profile (e.g., job title, company, email, social links)
  • Profile photo — if you choose to upload one
  • Google account information — if you sign in with Google (name, email, profile picture)
  • Apple account information — if you sign in with Apple (name, email or relay address)
  • Camera access — used only in real-time to scan QR codes; no images are stored by the App
  • Usage data — screen views and in-app events collected anonymously via Firebase Analytics
  • Crash reports — automatically collected to help us fix issues

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and display your digital business card to other users
  • Authenticate your identity via Google or Apple sign-in
  • Enable QR code scanning to view other users' profiles
  • Improve App performance and fix bugs using analytics and crash data
  • Respond to support requests or account-related inquiries

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Storage & Location

Your data is stored on servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, analytics, and crash reporting
  • Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method
  • Apple Sign-In — optional sign-in method
  • Google Wallet — optional digital card saving feature
  • Apple Wallet — optional digital card saving feature

6. Camera Permission

WSAL requests camera access solely for scanning QR codes within the App. The camera is activated only when you initiate a scan. No photos or videos are captured, saved, or transmitted by the App.

7. Your Rights (PDPL)

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
